Artemis Fowl
This series of five books is really, really good!
It might start off a little slow, I can't remember exactly what the first one was like.. xD
Anyways, they're very action packed books.
It's about a kid genius(12 years of age in the first book) Who uses his big brain for evil, and some how finds out about a fairy civilization that's underground.
Even though Artemis is evil, you still end up liking him, and can't help but hold your breath when he repeadetly cheats death. I highly recomend this series, it's clean, through and through. Except for some fairy-curse word. But hey, we don't know what it means!
There isn't another book like this around!

Well, anyways.
I honestly had trouble getting past the first maybe four chapters... It starts really slow, setting everything up. But then it really picks up, It's a very clever and exciting story.
It's a mystery(obviously) and no fantasy, I'm not used to books like that, but it was really good.
It has some really good twists, and your left thinking "What?? Did he/she really just do that???"
(Haha, don't want to give anything away ;-D)
